Privacy policy
Last updated 2 November 2026
SKALE ("we") runs skale.media. This policy covers what we collect when you visit the site, make an account, clip for a brand, or work with us, and what you can ask us to do with it.
01What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash. If you sign in with Discord, we also receive your Discord user ID, username and avatar.
- Clipping: the social accounts you add (platform, handle and profile link), the clips you submit, the public view, like and comment counts of those clips, any screenshots you upload as proof, and your earnings and withdrawals.
- Payouts: the details you give us to be paid, such as a USDC wallet address.
- Requests: what you send us through a form, such as your name, email address, a profile link and your message.
- Clients: the content, files and records creators and businesses keep with us, and the social accounts they connect.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, kept in server logs and used to protect sign-in and forms from abuse.
02Why we use it
- To run your account and the services you use, including counting the views your clips get and paying what you earn. This is needed to provide what you signed up for.
- To keep SKALE safe: spotting fake or bought views, stopping abuse and securing accounts. This is our legitimate interest.
- To reply to you and send the emails the service needs, such as sign-in links and receipts.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping payment records.
We do not sell personal data, show advertising or use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
03Who sees it
- Brands whose programs you join see your clips, the accounts you posted from and the results on their campaigns.
- Service providers who host the site and its database, store files, deliver email and send payments, under contracts that let them use the data only to provide their service to us.
- The platforms you connect or post to, such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, X and Discord, under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
04Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs: one that keeps you signed in, and a few that remember your choices, such as the theme, the space you last opened and whether you have seen the homepage intro. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of.
05How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. Earnings, withdrawal and payment records are kept as long as accounting and tax law require. Server logs are kept for a short time. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymise the rest.
06Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing privacy@skale.media. We reply within 30 days. If you connected an Instagram account, removing SKALE from it in Instagram deletes what we kept of it straight away. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
07Where it is processed
Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where the law asks for it, the transfer is covered by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.
08Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change matters for how we use your data, we tell you by email or in the app before it applies.
